Taggiasca olives cream

"Crema di Olive" is prepared with pickled olives, extra virgin olive oil and salt. The olives used are the "Taggiasche", a quality typically Ligurian, from the Western Riviera. Plants that give this type of olive are century year old and were planted by the monks on the terraces overlooking the sea. A very delicate taste and an intense dark colour characterize this olive cream. An ideal condiment for the preparation of toasts or canapés, may also be used as a base for pasta, spread directly onto bread or heated as a sauce; besides, it is an excellent dressing for salads or salted cakes.
